Intaglio. My first print ever! The assignment was to take painting that was important to us, and convert it into an intaglio print. I used an image from Ashley Wood's World War Robot due to it's techincal appeal in rendering soft brushtrokes in oil into etched copper. I was also interested in the idea of using a traditionally "high art" medium - oil paints and intaglio etching - to represent a "low art" image - a robot for a comic book.
